3007WFP mediacard reader not work with windows 7?

Alright my media card reader on my 3007wfp dell 30" monitor seems to be freaking out.

I plug it in and windows does it's install drivers thing. k great. The usb hub works fine. But if I go to "disk management" it says connecting to virtual disk service and just hangs there until I unplug the usb cord to the monitor.

Also if I have a memory card in the memory card reader and plug a usb drive in the usb port windows will not let me access it until I remove the memory card.

what the heck is goin on?

I would check with tech support.

I looked on www.support.dell.com for updated drivers and didn't find anything. Not sure if they have an internal build that might help.

nature of USB shouldn't need any special drivers for a simple mass storage device.

unless there is some design flaw, or firmware bug.

Or the way the device is being recognized by the OS. :)

I'll try and find an XP box in my house to try it out with. But like nekro said, it's just USB so it shouldn't be a problem.
