The version that I had downloaded is 2.4.5.3, but when installing it, it pops a dialog advising that a newer version is available (2.4.7.3). I chose to try the newer version, which has a PVR available that the older version doesn't. I was very disappointed, because the audio and video were so bad, that being able to record it simply wasn't desirable. I just reverted to the older version, which is pretty fair on sound and picture, but no PVR.

I really doubt it, but I'm wondering if there is some way to hack the older version to have the PCR, or to improve the A/V of the newer one?

It now seems that the older version of TVU is having the same problems as the newer one...though not quite as bad. I'm wondering if the problem is with my connection speed, hardware or just the quality of the signal that TVU is sending?

There isn't any way to hack the old version or to improve the new one.
