On performance preset could translate into P24000, if true then GT300 is faster than RV870's P18000. With dual GT300 score X26000 and P48000.

Gotta love this new GT300 and it's miraculous scaling.

QFT! The GT300 sounds like the ideal card for decent 3D Gaming(on a 24 incher)! :)

I wonder if there will be a visual difference between the current GTXxxx series and the new up-comming GTxxx series cards apart from raw power & being DX11 capable!

I mean i remember when i went from a 7800GTX to a 8800GT even on the same in-game settings/screen res i noticed a massive visual difference and remember thinking wow, it was insane how well the textures & lighting etc changed.

I wonder if the new GTxxx cards will have the save effect over the current GTXxxx?

I doubt they'll change much. The main difference with the 8 series was that the texture filtering was finally damn near perfect.

http://www.legitreviews.com/article/413/3/

Before the 8800GTX texture filtering was pretty inconsistent. Some times it looked good, some times bad, and on some cards in certain situations it could look terrible. The 8 series pretty much made it a non-issue though. It doesn't really need any more changes.

I know that Nvidia this time around will make sure that GTX300 is something AMD and Intel just can dream about and watch with wide open jaw.

Sure you do. The Nvidia crystal ball you sleep with every night told you so, right? :headexplode:

I can't find in any of the links "GT300 score X13000 in 3DMark Vantage". Must be all lost in translation or it is in secret codes. :)

If the rumors that the GT300 was taped out about 3 weeks ago is true, I doubt such benchmark does even exist at this time.

On the other hand and based on rumors about the GT300 specs, I have no doubt that the GT300 is going to be powerful card.

My speculation is that the dual GPU ATI card is going to be faster and than NVIDIA will get the dual GPU card to get the crown back.

Probably the same what happened with the current generations of graphics card.

I also believe if the rumored chip sizes are right, NVIDIA is going to have problems competing with the ATI pricing and maintaining good profit margin.

AthlonXP1800 started this thread and his dual GT300 calculation based on link Barys posted at http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3970053&postcount=85

Same like here people there have problem to find in that link "GT300 targets X13k pts?" and Barys is not talking anymore.

I did see some funny replies in that thread but it looks like the Mods didn't thinks so and the result is "This thread is beyond help. Locked."

Why is that. I thought both chips where the same size. Also there has been no pricings listed that I have been able to find.

they're not the same size, RV870 is ~>300mm˛ while GT300 is ~>500mm˛ (according to rumors at least)
