does 173.14.20 work with amd 64 2.6.31-rt kernels?

I have an old passive cooled fx5200 and since I'm no hc-gamer I'd like to use this noiseless card further in ubuntu karmic 9.10 amd64.
Any experiences around or must I free a partition and find it out myself?
