the back of my radeon 9500 has an svideo out and another port which came with an adapter tha looks like it converts to a monitor cable, what is this for, will it let me run 2 monitors at once, and like see in front of me on one monitor and behind me on another when playing quake:confused: or is it some kinda input or what?

It's a Digital Video Interface (DVI) output for a second monitor. Most LCD screens use it, however with the adapter you can use it on an analogue monitor. It's not much use for games as far as I know (as 3D is accelerated on the Primary monitor only), however either output can be the primary display.

It's really good if you always have lots of windows open and do multi-tasking.

yeah.....euan's right. and btw....even if u have a dual display setup, u put the monitors side-by-side, doubling your forward viewing area....there's no way to configure it so you would be able to look behind you. that would be cool tho. surrounded by ten or so monitors, looking in any direction i please....
