Anyone watch the Atlanta vs. New Orleans game? :headexplode:
That was probably the best game I've seen all season... I just wish it had ended better. The second best game of the season was the last time these two teams played.
I just can't believe Atlanta came so close to beating the undefeated Saints with so many of their starting offensive players out of the game, including their quarterback, star running back and a few of their best linemen.
Such an awesome game... but the ending left me pretty much empty. I was watching a stream of it online and the freaking thing stopped just as they were on 4th down. When it came back, New Orleans had the ball and was taking a knee. So ****ing disappointing. :(
I was SOOOOOOOO hoping that the Falcons would be the team to end the Saints' streak. Plus it would make it much easier for them to finally get back to back winning seasons... which they've never had in 40+ years.
If I were the Saints I'd be getting concerned. This is two weeks in a row that they've could/should have lost to a mediocre or bad team. They're starting to look like the Patriots a couple of years ago - blow everybody out early in the season and then toward the end start looking distinctly vulnerable. Hope they get it back together though, New Orleans could still use some good news.

**** yes! The Falcons pulled it together and beat the Jets' best rated offense in the league. They aren't going to the playoffs due to Dallas' win over New Orleans, but that's alright.
Two more games left.
If they win against Buffalo and Tampa, they will have back to back winning seasons for the first time in team history (since 1966).
The players and coaches may keep saying that they aren't too concerned about that in the long run, but I don't think anything would boost the team's morale like breaking a 43 year curse that is currently unrivaled by any team in any professional American sports league. ;)

There needs to be a mercy rule in professional sports. The Giants are absolutely murdering the Redskins who apparently have left both their defense AND offensive lines at home. Absolutely pathetic display thus far.
And the Giants aren't even playing that well.

I stopped watching in the 4th quarter.

Not at all. Zorn should have been fired after last night's performance....

I still don't know what happened to the Giants :(
That one afternoon, Eli hopped funny and the entire season sort of derailed. They were chugging along like a well oiled machine beforehand.
And the Buccaneers go marching on?
Well played Tampa Bay. New Orleans? Maybe they did run up their record against weaklings.
Excellent last drive.
:bleh:
The Colts just dropped many, many rungs down in my book.
How pathetic to just throw the game. What a waste. What a slap in the face to it's PAYING fans and viewers.
Simply disgraceful. And, if karma has proven anything to the Colts, every-time they have pulled a move like this, they have lost in the early rounds in the playoffs.
With such a class-less act, I hope they lose, even though I've been rooting for them all season, I hope they lose.

The Bucs had better not be making a late (useless) comeback. :headexplode:
Atlanta whooped the Bills today... next week they have to beat the Bucs and they'll finally have back to back winning seasons.
I was happy to see New Orleans get beat by the underdog team, but the Buccaneers are still a rival of Atlanta's and this win will definitely effect the team's mind set going into next week's game.
Either they'll be more confident and it will help them or they'll be over confident and it will hurt them.
Atlanta needs to beat them though. It may not be for the playoffs, but its for something they only get a chance at every 2 years at best. :p

Ever since Morris took over the defense, they have played better and been more competitive :)

While I agree that it is violating the spirit of the game to have done what they did, this is the thing that really makes it stupid IMHO. The Colts are not a team that can just take nearly a month off and come back as good as they were, their offense is too finely tuned right now and they're going to lose at least some of that. He chickened out and avoided the short-term danger of someone getting hurt and chose the long-term danger of them tanking in the playoffs.
Also, I think Caldwell may have just lost the team. If they go and lose in the first round I don't think he'll still be there in two or three years. He had very little to do with their success this year (this is still Dungy and Manning's team) and seeing the looks on the players' faces during that game a loss in the playoffs could be the end for him.
Of course, if they go on to win the Super Bowl Caldwell is a genius, but I just don't see that happening.
I think those three ESPN announcers are jerking off over Brett Favre. Brett Favre, Brett Favre, Brett Favre, OMG Brett Favre. Even when Chicago is up its Brett Favre, Brett Favre. I want the Vikings to lose just to shut them up.
