Guys i don't have a floppy disc or pen drive at hand, Is it possible to update my asus motherboards bios using a cd\dvd rom?

If so how would i go about this?

Hey Ato :). I would have thought so. Try going in to your BIOS and look in the EZ Flash bit. If it's anything like mine you'll be taken out of the main BIOS screen and into the BIOS flash screen where it'll give you a list of drives to look for BIOS files on. I can't remember if you need to burn the disk as a bootable disk, though.

EDIT: You might be able to just put the BIOS file on drive C: when I think about it. Here's a pic..

Hey m8 :).

Yip im aware of EZ-Flash m8 ..... So what i can just copy the bios file directly to a cd-rom disc without having to make it bootable & update through
EZ-Flash?

Can remember if it needs to be bootable, dude (I'm not at home to have a look). But try the HD route 1st ;). You can see on that pic that the .BIN file is being accessed from the HD. Although saying that I seem to remember it jumbles up the drive letters :o
