ITs integrated in the control panel. Kinda tough to find but I think its under where you can enable different displays. Click on the monitor and then thers a DX refresh override box. Supposedly it works for Ogl games too but I'm not at my comp to test.

Rage3D Tweak has a refresh rate program. I use the Sapphire Redline program as I've found it a bit easier (though it's based on R3D Tweak also).

I installe my gigacube 256 meg 9800 Pro today I founf that refresh overide box works great, This card has played ut2003, GTA Vicecity, Unreal 2, quake 3, that I have installed so far and have played them all for at least a half hour each Absoulutley No Problem, boy' does this cards IQ look much better than my Ti 4600 I had in here. I'm really happy camper now. Can rest for awhile don't need to upgrade for quite awhile now:)

Unfortunately the full version only comes bundles with Sapphire retail cards. But Rage3D Tweak is publicly available and should function in much the same way.

From the Control panel, go to the Advanced Display properties. Then click on the ATI Displays tab. Then click on Monitor. With Catalyst3.5 the "DX Refresh Override" is simply called "Refresh Rate Override" because it works for both D3D and OGL. Set it, and you're done :)

My question with that method is does it force that refresh rate across all resolutions or does each resolution work independently? With Redline at least, I can set any resolution to have any refresh rate I want.

With the DX override in th ATI control pannel if you set it to 85hz ,then all the game you play will be 85Hz in openGL or D3D.at all resolutions as long as your monitor can handle it.

I also just made the leap of faith to ATi 9800 pro card and I have to say its awesome, my ti4600 was nothing compared to this card. The image quallity is light years ahead of Nvidia. The speed is mind blowing.
