It had been there, before putting this rig together, and changing the video card from an 8800GTS to an 7800GT OC yesterday. Now it's missing in action from the Desktop Context menu. Checking in the Device Manager, it shows that 190.62 is installed now, but for some reason, it had reverted to a driver in the 180 series before I installed the current driver...also yesterday.

I did try reinstalling 190.62 again, a short while ago, but I did not use any kind of cleaner first, yet the install did go normally....still no control panel. I went into the driver's folder and tried running the NvCplSetupEng, but it returned the error:

Setup failed to read the required Display Driver to be used with this package.

Setup Will not continue.

Before going to the hassle of doing a full uninstall and cleaning of the drivers and starting over, I wanted to see if there are any other ideas?

i've this problem too, none of the 190.xx drivers give me the control panel.
I have tried uninstalling the drivers and used Driver sweeper but no go :(

I got the control panel...but it only partially works. I can access it with UltraMon. For Windows 7 you have to use the beta for compatability.
