My brother is coming for a visit. He'll be getting in late, and we'll be getting up early to go hunting. Still, there's got to be some time for us to have a twelve pack and do some TF2. :)

:rofl I did that once with a mattress when I'd had a little too much to drink at a friends...I didn't realize the whole bed was attached on the other side. Needless to say, moments later I was laying under a bloody bed, hollerin' for those jackasses that tricked me to get the damn thing off of me. They were laughing so hard at the muffled sounds I was making that they had a hard time getting me out from under it. :rofl

Okay, so today *was* going goog... until a few moments ago when I just got chewed out by a customer because they were not satisfied with the work we did on their computer- and I had *nothing* to do with this job. It was the other tech that serviced their rig, and he does really good work.

It's stuff like this that makes me not want to work in IT. I'm tired of fixing computers, advising the customer all the while they're better off replacing the computer but I fix their computer anyways because they insist... just to have them call back and yell at me claiming I should have advised them to buy a new system from the get-go. :wtf:

Screw people! Wanna' bitch at your tech? Fix the damn thing yourself. Don't want to take my advise, and then claim that I never gave you that advise but I should have? Go stuff that computer someplace...

At least have a little understanding that I wasn't the tech who serviced your computer, so yelling and cussing at me accomplished nothing except ruin my day. What did I do to deserve having my day ruined?

Ugh... :(

Next time, tell them to excuse you while you go get the manager. Walk back in the room with a sawed-off shotgun.

"Hi there. THIS is the Manager. Would you like for him to speak to you?"

:rofl

So I end up staying a bit late at work today... punch out, then check my phone for any missed calls. My lil' sister called me, turns out that my parents' computer got some kind of infection. So I've spent the last near 3 1/2 hours over there removing it. :(

At least now, my day is over. Just to start it all again tomorrow. To make it worse, got a meeting tomorrow after work. :( Mandatory meeting. General, ya'll think you could over night a cooler of ya'll shine?

Sorry, I haven't built a new still yet. Copper costs a lot these days, and I'm not about to half-ass the quality of the product.

On another note, I have quit drinking...again...at least for now. :)

Getting out of that part of the IT business was the best thing I ever did.

We once had some guy come in about something that happened months before. We charged him for a replacement power adapter I dunno, this guy must have been a little Obsessive Compulsive. He demanded to see the boss who was out, I had no idea what it was about. Then he says he runs a business that has $5000 worth of PCs. I started laughing and said we service half the banks here and the servers for QANTAS at the airport plus more all up and down the coast. He then mumbled something about going to talk to them and left. I LOLd some more. All those contracts are handled through head offices, a little weiner going to the local branch will do nothing at all.

LOL

You're darn right crainger. I used to have a job where I'd just come into work, see a line of computers that needed repaired, a list of different computers that needed to be built so we could sell them. I never saw the customers. I was always in the back either building or repairing computers. And I loved that job. Sadly, that place has recently gone out of business. :(

Anyhow, so far work is going well, though I seem to have come down with the cold. So I'm all drugged up, just watching the minutes tick by. :(

Hey, you need to get some of them roll-over minutes. Maybe your boss will let you turn them in, go home early, and still get paid.

Sadly, there will sooner be a blizzard in Hell. :(

Anyhow- show up for work today and there are several computers in pieces, parts all over the bench. And the other tech called in sick and didn't leave any notes in regards to the jobs... so I'm basically operating blind. This could get interesting...
