View Full Version : Geforce FX bugged?

Okay as I stated in another thread. I am haveing problems with the GF FX 5600. Like the textures look fine when the game first loads but when i go into a new area where it loads the textures of the game really look bad as if there is no textures at all.I know I am not the only one that is having the problem. Because a friend of mine bought the card and he had the same problems with it in GTA Vice City. He did not keep the card long enough to figuer out what was causeing it in the game because he returned the card and bought ATI. I believe that it is a bug with the Drivers and DirectX. I want to know if anyone else is haveing problems with the other FX line of cards and if Nvidia knows of the problem and is working to fix it because my 30 Days to return it just passed.

Use the 43.51 drivers with Vice City. It's a goofy game, very buggy.

I don't own the game. All i want to know is if people are haveing problems with the card and what the problem is.

I would say if you still have time to take it back and get a Radeon9700,Then RUN.

Well, I installed those drivers, my problems went away completely. 44.03 and 43.45 had stuttering (might be the 5200, heh), and 44.65 had graphical artifacts a la pre-Vice City 1.1 patch.

And if you don't know the game, why are you complaining about it? The bug is purely in the game--it's just not a great port.

Stupid drivers :p i just picked up GTA vice city from my friend and i do have those 43.51 drivers installed and i got the same problem i do with Asheron's Call 2 and like I said the time just passed like last week to return the card

1. did you install the Vice City 1.1 patch.
2. AC2 is bugged on everyone's systems when you turn on shaders

That did it in GTA. I didn't know that it was a a patch for just graphics.
