Nvidia confident that GT300 wins over 5870

I heard from this cool smart person that the GT300 will be out in a week and will be 75% faster than a 5870 X2 and it will be immediately available for $199. Also, there are no yield problems.

Awesome. Do they both have ninja-boost drivers?

If you look at it as far a die size comparison, GT300 needs to be ~48% faster than R770 to be worth the extra amount of chip realestate. I'm expecting 10-20% faster myself. So it will be like last generation, the consumer will win because of competitive pricing, but ATI will make more profit per chip than nVidia.

Yeah, a look at what is known right now kinda spells out that this gen will be quite similar to last gen, I expect a 4870/GTX280 repeat.
