Graphics upgrade concerns...

Recently, I bought a new PSU to go with my computer as a preparation to upgrade the graphics. I am deciding on a GeForce GTX 260 (core 216) graphics card http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....2180891 67038 as this upgrade. However, a couple of things concern me...

1. Firstly: Will this sucker even fit in my case? Since I have a micro-ATX board, it is ONLY 9.6" wide! So... no doubt that this card will be longer then the board.

2. Will the card run to its peak performance? Or will some of my hardware components bottleneck it [I only have a regular PCI-e X16 slot]?

Your entire rig needs a overhaul :o I believe there will be significant bottlenecking

You probably would need an overhaul. There are some very good new CPUs out now, like the AMD Phenom2 and the Intal Core i5.

Try a 8800GT

I'd get a used G92 8800GT if you could find one, they have good deals on them nowadays (like $75).

If you want a new card, I'd go with an ATI 4850 or 4870, depending which one you can find a better "deal" on. Yea it probably won't run at its best, but you can probably find a 4870 for $150 and it would still be good for a future rig too.

If your lucky you can grab a 8800gt for $50 I would know I just sold mine for that lol :D
