I liked having a bunch of news all in one block, as well as "main" pieces of news too, but the new formatting is very sweet. :cool3:
Excellent work MUYA. I didn't think my "small" complaint would actually get the wheels turning, but I'm very pleased that it has.
keep up the great work to all the NVnews staff and friends,
-Flecko
Thanks guys for the feedback, I am glad that the problem was addressed and sorted! Still can't figure out what I did wrong the first time i tried it a few weeks ago, and now when i attempted to do the same things and it works! ...amazing....I am going senile these days.
Who am I ?
Oh yeah I am Metallica FANBOI who posts at nvnews.net :D
Happy reading/browsing
Cheers
MUYA
PS - I also had a lil help with the html code by the big boss to make things even better now :P

MUYA,
You're doing a fine job of scouring the Net for news. This style of "clumping" is acceptable in lieu of no news at all!
If whiny bitches are too lazy to click a headline to read the article/review for themselves, then we don't care for their "****ing" opinions anyway.
Keep up the good work.

Neil Yates broke off from nV News and started Envy News if I'm not mistaken....a long time ago :p
Join Team nV News Folding@Home (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6466) :D Although those instructions should probably be updated too ;)

Looks great....really easy to find pieces of interest!
I just wanna say that MUYA, you're doing a fine job! :D
You're like a robot posting all that news, heheh:p
I don't really mind the roundups as I read the selected news.
Keep it up! :afro:

I've actually always liked the roundups, all in oneplace is more convenient for me. The new layout is great for quickly picking out the desired info. Great work Muya, greatly appreciated by many of us as I'm sure you know. :super:
I am swinging on MUYA's style now as everyone else obviously is. Considering the buttloads of news that MUYA scratches together it's really the best solution. The revised outline style is very tight indeed. :headbang: :jammin: :alc:

Just to say - with MUYA's posts NVnews is the best source of tech related news/reviews on the net - at least from what I have seen/remembered so far... :D - great, I think he will bring quite a few noobs to stay with the site as they come accross NVnews ;)

*yoink!* I've decided to use the style MUYA is using now:)
Yeah, great work MUYA, the new NVnews posting wh0re :D ;)
I really like the new way of posting, even though I was a fan of the old style roundups, the new way just adds the icing to the cake.
Top stuff, and certainly a plus point for why I'll continue to stay with NVnews rather than Rage3d.

I was thinking that I'd do the same thing. One problem though...every time I find a few good news items and fire up the old news poster I see that MUYA has already posted what I found plus about 42 other cool news bits. Doh! :surrender :D
MUYA is all teary eyed...is completely overrun by emotion
:)
Ahhhh.....this makes it worth while! :P
Glad you guys enjoy the roundups!
Now..i gotta see uf there are stuff to post! :)
MUYA
Hey MUYA,
I tinkered with your most recent post a bit, hope you don't mind. If so, just don't poke me with real pointy stick.:POKE:
Anyway, I think that the square bullets look a bit snazzier than the default circle bullets. What do you (and everyone else) think? I know, it's a pointless thing really but the site is real clean with all of the 90 degree angle, square/rectangle design so the round bullets just look out of place to me.
Tip: If we all decide to go with square bullets you've gotta use the following syntax:
<ul style="list-style-type: square">
...instead of the depreceated: <ul type="square">

Hmm how about from now on we just add all other news bits to the original roundup for that day? And just make a note at the bottom to say you have added a few bits?

Omigosh, you're from "The Region"? Just noticed that...wow, small world. I'm not from there but I'm from Indianapolis.
Whaddaya mean in your quote above? I did quickly use FP's WYSIWYG (yuck I know, have to use it at work a lot though) but I didn't see any FP crap-code in there.

:D I don't know about "wise"...I mean you're Mr. 1600 SAT Score afterall right? ;) SATs weren't stressed at my high school so I took the ACTs and my best was a 29...MUCH different scale though! Thanks for the "pro-snazzy" vote.

Just what I said, I was self-depreciatingly implying that I didn't know that nVnews had a front page since I just come in straight to the forums. ;)
It's a running joke with me on about 3-4 websites that never gets old to me and seriously annoys a few people, so I can never resist posting it whenever the opportunity comes up.

Me likes your angle on this...only, it'd be nice to actually indicate exactly what items are updates. Hmm.
Also, for newbs they wouldn't know that the roundup is updated in this way...course they could just figure it out eventually. :p
I like it, I'm for experimenting with the idea...

That's cool idea. In the end it doesn't matter who started teh roundup as long as the roundup up is huge and ppl come here first! :P For the common good of increasing nvnews hits!!!

Great point about how to distinguish. I think I'll use the following:
soandso review ... soandsohardware
Yeah, doesn't matter who starts the roundup (though we all know it'll be MUYA 99% of the time...you and that dang timezone advantage). :)
