Hi,

I am wondering if anyone else is planning to get SWG tomorow when it hits store shelves????!!!!!!!!

I am, and i think all of us nVNewer'ers should all play on the same server : P

i was not let into the beta program, so i have no idea how to play it yet, so ill be a noob in it, but i played EverQuest!

anyone else gonna buy it tomorow with me?

Not planning on playing it now or ever. I didn't really like it and I was in the beta. I'm playing DAoC untill WoW comes out. That's all I have to say about that game.

Basically, a lot of the important features that were promised were cut... so yeah, same here. Waiting for WoW..

The biggie is player-owned vehicles. And yes, it's subscription, $15 a month, which is quite high.

In six months, it might be great--the space expansion will probably be out, and other stuff will be added as well, making it splendiferous. But at launch... meh, you'd still be beta testing it.

and if i do buy it tomorow, what race/class should i choose? is there even classes : O

Eg. is it like everquest?

in EQ you just log in at the newbie area, kill a few tings and get a cuple quick levels??

Classes... sorta. Skill stuff. So you basically do what you want, and it should increase your prowess in given action. Emphasis on should. Read Gabe's thing on PA from a couple days ago--there ya go.

can someone explane combat?

is it swords or guns? etc?

It's, "Queue up attacks, watch them happen, repeat." It's not like JK2 (as it SHOULD BE, DIE VERANT DIE) or anything like that--it's blatantly simple..

From what I've read, it plays like an upgraded Everquest in a Star Wars universe. With the same battle system (except using blasters instead of swords) and same downtime and same initial beta testing... etc.

Low down why im not gonna buy verants games : you still have to kill rats and run to other zone if your overpowered by bugs :lol: not an action game lazy time eating RPG wanna be

Ummm...Verant doesn't make games anymore. Verant was BOUGHT by SOE.

PLEASE do not base your opinions of the game on what a few people say. I love it...It kicks ass...But don't base it on what I say either! Go buy the game, get one month free (OK, it's not free, you pay $50 bucks to buy the game, and you get one month to see if you want to pay to play...heh.) I personally like the gameplay BETTER than EQ or DOAC. The graphics are insane (I can't run them at full on my system-P4 2.66/1 GB DDR 400/FX5900Ultra (256). They are simply beautiful (the graphics). If you PM me I can get you some in game movies if you want (some of them beautiful, some funny...amazing what you can do with such an engine). If you like MMORPG's, It'll be worth the $50 bucks to try. After SWG, there are ONLY 2 MMORPG's I'm interested in. Middle Earth Online (2004) and EQ2 (Supposedly Fall 2003, but we shall see).

I have been reading news on the net, and one review seemed to talk like the game was crap the whole article, but at the end he said he 'loved it'

i really dont care much about graphcis for a mmorpg, all i care about is preformance with TONS of people in th esame room.(everquest bazaar anyone?)

ive also read some 2 line reviews that just say "this game sucks dont buy it"

if it is just an everquest in a star wars universe, that is what i am exactly looking for!

im gonna leave for the store in a few min, hehe : (

So you tell him not to listen to evryones opinion and then talk about how great games graphics are :rolleyes: and not a word on game play , do you pay 50$ for screensaver :lol:
