Nice job :)

Thanks, but it was meant as a joke and I guess it wasn't goofy-looking enough to be considered as funny.:)

I think he was being sarcastic(I made it btw). ;)

No I was not trying to be sarcastic, just having fun. That is why the smiley was there.

i thought it was a real nvidia card and like the look of it

good idea of ATI to have the vents at the rear too

ill always stick with nVidia now though for many reasons

if nvidia is so confident in ther card ,why send out blurry pictures ,ATI has done made thier card ,so I don't think this will help ATI by seeing a picture of the GF100 .It makes me wonder if the new GT300 is all it is crack up to be,if they can't give any information about it except for a blurry picture.

There are specs on the card, for example. 512 cores, 3 billion transistors. That is double that of GT200!

I know he usually gets them before everyone else. But I would be shocked if even he had them ATM.

Real world benchmarks will tell the tale. Either way, this being October means we're just another month closer to a next-gen release and all the X-mas goodness that brings with it.

I've earmarked my funds and if the benchmarks end up being all they're anticipated to be (and the drivers don't suck @ss), I'll be cooking with GT300 for the new year.

You know I used to be like you guys, wanting the best and greatest but then I got tired of watching my bank account dwindle when I spent $400+ on a new video card every three to six months. :D

I'm planning on waiting and who ever has the best price/performance ratio gets my money. Right now that's ATI. The 5850 looks real nice for it's price and by the time the GT300 comes out the 5870 may even go down to combat NVIDIA. In these time's it all about how much performance I can get for less cash. I highly doubt that NVIDIA's card won't be the fastest but at what cost? Will it be priced around $300 like the 5870 or will it be more like $450? Time will tell and that will make all the difference to me.

And C++ and Cuda mean nothing to me seeing as most games are programmed for consoles first we hardly see these new features being used in games. DX10 never really took off and I doubt DX11 or any of these other features will any time soon either.

I've always belonged in that same catagory. This time around I'm going to try and hold off for 6-7 months after the cards come out. The price always drops quite a bit, plus you start seeing non-reference designs with better/quieter cooling solutions.

I loved my HD4870 (I still prefer NVIDIA's AA implementation more though), but the reference HS/Fan sucked A$$.

I wouldn't mind going with another NVIDIA part, but I'll hold off to see how the price wars settle out.

Fermi White Paper!

P.S. - Why are these types of documents referred to as a White Paper? Is it because paper is typically white?

Good question, I had to look it up. Appears to be really a marketing tool. Look at the Commercial section of Wiki on White Papers

Totally agree, I have a ATI 4870 right now and I love it. I bought it because of the price at the time. If NVIDIA can give me a similar offering to the 5870 or 5850 with prices around what ATIs are right now I'd buy it. I just can't justify $500 for a video card every six months. :D I really don't care which card I would get, I have no fanboyism to ATI or NVIDIA I just buy what is the best performance for the best price.

It'd be really funny if Jakup! had 3 boards but they couldn't find one for Jen Hsun to hold up for the keynote speech.
