I use openoffice usually, Is there any reason to buy this?

I suppose its edumucational...

yea, Office 2007 is very good. And for that price, its a steal.

MS Office 2007 blows OpenOffice.org away. Though Openoffice has improved a little bit... not enough to make me go back to it.

Most definitely.

Word, Excel, and Powerpoint are much better than OpenOffice. I think you will find that as well.

Also, if you run Linux, I am pretty sure Office will run nicely with Wine :)

Yes.

And do spend the week or so for the learning curve for the ribbons.

Ribbons > old menu system. You can still use keyboard shortcuts for some commands as before, pressing Alt will bring up the short-cuts and each tab in the ribbon will be highlighted when you "enter" that container :)

Also you can scroll between the various ribbon tabs simply by scrolling your mouse wheel. Very convenient.

For that price, it's well worth it. I've got 2007 on all my PCs, always handy. I got mine through TechNet.
