I'm thinking of getting this for my current rig. What do you guys think of it?

Make sure the case can fit it. I know some cases have this brushing up against the side/display window.

Got one here and works damn good shaw.

My I7 3.73 runs idle at 106f and does about 118f during FarCry2 or Shaders.

Its really cool, I too was looking at getting it until I saw the Corsair Hydro Series H50. You can get it for around $80 :)

Wow! I didn't realise it's so tall. I'm using a Lian Li PC G-7. A standard ATX case. Better go check the dimensions I think. That Corsair cooler looks nice. Haven't thought of going liquid. Might be an option.

Yea it is massive. It will brush the display window of an Antec 1200.

The CoolerMaster V8 is great. I had to remove the side fan on my Antec 900 in order to fit it in the case though.

Installed the H-50 over the weekend very easy install . 67c full load prime95 small fft 40c idle with ambient temps at around 77 degrees this on a Q9550 at 3.7.

I am very happy with Cosair h50 really decent I previously had a Thermalright Ultra 120 the difference between the two is about 2c idle and about 4c on load with the H50 having the slight edge.

If the p55 i7's run anything like the i5's the v8 will be overkill.

So who got one of these? The only weird thing about this is that the fan blows through the rad back into the case, but I suppose a top fan might take care of that issue.

Just reverse fan have it sucking air out of case, on back of the case. Where usally the 120mm fan mount is on case.:)

Right, the review I saw of it put 2 fans in push/pull on the radiator, pushing air out of the case and had the best results. I might try it out, haven't decided yet. My temps aren't that bad now with my 1283 dark knight, but it's always fun to try new hardware. :)

I'm on stock fan at the mo so haven't yet seen what these baby i7's are like OC. I do have the Xigmatek "Red Scorpion" cooler from my last E8600 rig so what I really need is the 1156 bracket but according to their site http://www.xigmatek.com/ it's not available yet. Just impatient I guess.
