This Fx5600 review http://www.gotapex.com/reviews.php?rev=videocards/asylum%20fx/p4.html shows a Gpu temperature tab in the drivers.
I have an Albatron 5600P... Why dont I have this tab ? How do I get it ?(Can i get it? Only Bfg 5600 reviews seem to talk about this)

which drivers are you using?

44.03 in WinXP

I've seen that temperature setting since 42.72, but only when using a GeForce FX card.

Although the thermal diode debuted in NV28 (GF4 Ti4x00 AGP-8x), the drivers don't appear to reccognize the thermal diode until NV30.

Hmm I suppose we can assume that my card(and marks card) either do not have the thermal diode or the drivers dont report it.

Either ways anyone who wants this feature should note that the Albatron 5600P 128MB 325/500 dosent show the Gpu temperature in the driver .. atleast no one seems to have a way to make this possible.

I've mailed Albatron lets see what they have to say.

Are we all sure this isn't a feature that's exclusive to the FX 5800?

Well in the link I gave above, the reviwer has also taken a screenshot of the said driver feature on a 5600.

I've also read it on atleast one other 5600 review.(no link)

Perhaps the card maker can choose not to implement this.

Ahh, that's right. The GPU thermal diode requires an external circuit, which costs money. Since 5800 boards were all made by NVIDIA, they all have the Maxim chip recommended by NVIDIA. Other FX (5200, 5600, 5700, 5900) aren't guaranteed to have GPU thermal diode support.
