Already ordering parts? Could that mean NVIDIA is going in the open with A1 silicon? :zombie:

Good news, does this mean Nvidia's partners have seen what Fermi is capable of? Then again, they don't have much choice.

The main problem for Nvidia is that AMD can entrench themselves and even prepare faster versions of their current chips to put up better performance once Fermi is released.

Does anyone know what the most reliable rumor is about Fermi's release? Especially the high-end chips? I read on Fudzilla that Nvidia's mainstream Fermi parts are scheduled for March '10. That means that I have to go with AMD because with my screen resolution a "mainstream" HD 5770 would be plenty.

The FX series probably looked good on paper too, I'll wait to see, with fingers crossed.

I think we're all hoping for another 8800 series....whether we get it remains to be seen.

Lets hope Cray dont put in a huge order on 100.000 units for some supercomputer hehe.
They were talking at GTC about how they were looking into that now with ECC support and better double float performance and all that.
