I always use the nvidia display optimization wizard after installing drivers. Are there any specific programs for tuning an LCD monitor to the correct brightness, color etc? There used to be programs such as coloriffic, but they are for crt's.I'd be willing to buy it if necessary. The problem I'm finding is I need to adjust the damn screen for optimal gaming then when I want to surf I need to screw with it again or text is fuzzy.I'll keep googling;)

If you guys are using Winows 7, have you tried using the Monitor Calibration system that's part of the OS now?

I was using the RC for a while but decided to wait for release and removed it.Is the utility you mentioned the equivalent of the optimization wizard in the XP drivers? I've noticed a couple of cool utilities but they are mac only(LOL) I'm really surprised someone hasnt capitalized on this yet.I'll keep hunting and asking around:D

It's actually really good. I have to use calibration religously for printing work, so it's a must and a definite step up from the monitor calibrators out there. Plus it's included for free with Windows 7, so there's absolutely no reason to not try it out.

I'm still surprised when people post screenshots that most of them are either too dark or too washed out. No wonder their eyes go bad so fast. :screwy:

any calibration using a wizard and just your eye will be useless in getting any true color/tone reproduction, especially for any kind of printing. You need hardware to do this. The cheapest way is to purchase a Spyder2 or pantone huey, if using a regular monitor/Lcd, or a Spyder3/color eyes display pro bundle if like me you are using a Wide gamut monitor.

3Deep hasn't been updated since they closed in 2004, that's why you can't find it.

Here it is on MG
