1st round of playoffs. Gone. Guarantee it.

And the Suns aren't "consistent". They are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. Nash and Stoudemire are on a hot streak, but it will run out soon enough. They are a very thin team. Expect their luck to run out before Christmas. Then they will have a huge losing streak. Count on it.

This.

 at you calling Miami a top team.

Miami is 2nd place in the East right now. They've only lost 2 games. One of which is to the #1 seed in the NBA right now - PHX SUNS. But yeah, they must suck or something.

when you run and gun, other teams are going to score more points due to the simple fact that they get more shot attempts.

The best way to look at who is the best defensive team is by the point differential.

http://www.nba.com/statistics/sortable_team_statistics/sortable1.html#top

If you look at this chart Boston is the best at +10 more points per game. PHX is slightly above average at +4.2 points per game. They're not a great defensive team, but they are a decent one.

/me slaps Zelda

NO.

:nono:

The best statistic to look at for a great defensive team is opponent field goal percentage.

Phoenix is currently 27th in the NBA in that statistic. They are a decent defensive team only when compared to the bottom 5 teams, in which case New York sucks balls and Sacramento is like the bad boy Pistons of the 80's.

Seriously, you are worse than the Iraqi information minister when it comes to being a Phoenix Suns apologist.

They don't look top caliber at all. They had a hot start and beat the Celtics on a bad night. Thats it.

Back on Brandon Jennnings. Dude is a stud. I picked him up on my team day one at $7 dollars . He's killing it out there.

Miami is playing pretty decent. Don't forget that they still have Wade and Chalmers and co are getting better. They should be a top 4-6 team in the East by the end, barring serious injuries.

bwahaha

Nash posted up a 16 assist game. What a stud. If he plays like this the rest of the season he'll win his third MVP.

And even better they beat the rockets with their defense. The announcers were saying they held the Rockets to like 30% shooting in the fourth quarter.

Good thing he dished so much since he was 2-10 from the field.

And they let the Rockets score 105 on them. That's not good D on a team that has a weak offense.

You clearly didn't watch the game. They held the rockets to 30% shooting in the fourth quarter. Great D.

Great D or was a not-so-great shooting team shooting not-so-great.

TBH Who cares. They're winning games. At the end of the day that's all that matters.

The only thing I care about is the Blazers, so I'm not really one to talk.

Their center is 6'-6"! Don't make fun, they're just little guys.

A group of guys that beat the Lakers the other day.

Oh that's nice to know :)

By the way, it was fascinating watching the Suns dominate the sad Hornets tonight, playing WITHOUT their best player, Chris Paul, the best point-guard in the league. The totally won by scoring fewer points than the Hornets. :bleh:

Their solid defense stepped up once again, especially in the 4th quarter.

Amazing how the Suns (10-3) have a better record than the Hawks (11-2) by having won LESS games and lost MORE.

I love these quandries. First they win by scoring fewer points, than they top the standings by having fewer wins. A truly miraculous season this. :bleh:

Hell, I say give them the championship trophy already and Nash the MVP trophy. This season is over my friends. Congratulations to the Phoenix Suns, they finished with an 82-0 record, somehow erasing their losses and Nash ended with 16 assists a game, by using a new equation which converts turnovers into assists. :bleh:

Kudo's and better luck next season the rest of the NBA.

LOL, this thread is win.

UNLIKE my fantasy team which is in trouble. I'm starting to fall behind pace and it seems like Tyger has all the same players that I do, so how to catch up? I'm going to have to gamble on some unsure-things to make up ground. :|

im falling behind pace in some positions. Its ok. Don't worry. Being behind pace isn't bad. Just as long as by the end of the year you make it up (which trust me, will be easy). Honestly, its completely fesible and possible to join the game right now, and catch up with pace to play all 82 games.

Yea methimp, you need to catch up. I'm first and second place.

News Flash:

Steve Nash is now #1 ranked seed in Race to the MVP

http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/11/20/racetomvp.week3/index.html

If he wins a third one I'm gonna rub it in your face so bad
