View Full Version : UFC just lost any credibility they ever had

Machida lost. He wasn't even close to winning. Shogun beat his ass as much as possible. All Machida did was run around like a damn fairy. He didn't even attack the entire fight.

Who saw this fight besides me? Machida did not deserve that victory at all. I use to think boxing was the only sport that was fixed. UFC is now a part of that group.

Shogun was robbed badly. I feel bad for him and Machida. Machida is now a paper champ and his legacy will always be questioned as long as he holds the title. If I were him, I would honorably forfeit the belt and admit defeat to Shogun. He would've gained a lot of respect.

Lol. Watch the fight. Don't just listen to the commentary. It was close, but Machida definitely did enough to win. Shogun landed leg kicks... Machida landed vicious knees that nearly made Shogun crumble and shots right to Shoguns face. Generally I hold a punch to the head as more damaging than a leg kick. Like I said... close but not the robbery or "fix" as some retarded people are suggesting.

Machida lost period. I didn't listen to the commentary as it is distracting to me. Most of the time Machida was running around the ring while Shogun managed to land his vicious kicks. But that's not to say that Machida didn't do his part too. But Shogun was doing the most damage. At the end of the fight Machida looked beaten and Shogun looked like he could go for another few rounds.

Apparently you didn't watch the fight. I posted on here a few minutes after the fight was over.

Even Dana White himself said that Shogun won. I usually agree with you with most things UFC and MMA. But this time you are dead wrong. Shogun outclassed Machida in every way possible.

Shogun did better but he did not destroy Machida. If they are going to score a title fight differently then they need to articulate it not have it be an unsaid rule.

is there a video of this yet?

Found videos of round 3 4 and 5

After seeing round 3 I say it was basically a tie maybe the flurry at the end gave the round to Machita because Shogun was really pressed to cover up and Machita landed good shots. Joe said Shogun landed a right, not really, it was a glancing blow that had nothing on it.

Round 4 was 6 landed to Machida's 1 so Shogun won that round but not much happened. The more I listen to Joe Rogan the more I think he is a idiot. He gets off on shots that are glancing blows that I didn't count for Shogun.

Round 5 was even. 4 shots landed to 4. Rogan is a moron. He says nice body shot by Shogun when it was a leg kick and it was blocked.

From what I saw with only the last 3 rounds I didn't see the challenger beating the champ. I saw the challenger wear down the champs legs but Shogun never had Machita in trouble. I do think Shogun did land very good leg strikes but Tyger said Machita got his ass beat? That is just silly. It may be the case in rounds 1 and 2 since I didn't see them but in the last 3 not much happened. You have to beat the champion to take his title. I didn't see that in this fight. I would say it is a draw with a nod to Shogun. Nothing in this fight impressed me with either fighter.

WRT to Machita running away like a fairy, oh geeze. He is a defensive fighter and a counter puncher. It seems to me as if you just don't like his style so you wanted him to lose. I have no opinion on either fighter and didn't care who won. I saw a boring fight with a bunch of leg kicks. Not much more. I don't see how you can get up set at this decision.

The reason shogun did so many leg kicks was to slow machita down. It isn't the main point of scoring. It did slow machita down but shogun could not capitalize on it. That is why I don't think the leg kicks alone can win a fight for you. I didn't think machita did much either from what I saw. As I said it was a draw with a nod to shogun for landing so many leg kicks but it wasn't enough to beat the champ and you have to beat the champ. You can't just bruise his legs up and say I win. It doesn't work that way in MMA or boxing. One thing you could say is machita did not fight that well and had to rely on the challenger not beating him to hold his title. I wouldn't say he defended his title only that shogun didn't beat him.

And when Shogun threw a leg kick, Machida usually answered with a straight right down the pie hole of Shogun. The commentary was so biased, they kept talking about how red Machida's body was while not mentioning the fact that Shogun had redness where he received many knees that nearly made him crumble to the ground, and the fact that you could see Machida's foot marks on Shogun's face. No mention of any of that because Rogan and Goldie were both just hugging the nuts of Shogun ALL FREAKING NIGHT. It was ridiculous.

Wow, even Dana White said it? OMGZ. Come on man. Dana White is a tool. The dude sure didn't complain when Forrest "beat" Rampage, and that was WAY more ridiculous than this is.

BS . . .you can take a fighter out with great leg kicks. These two just happen to be great fighters. Shogun probably would have had his clock cleaned if he did not take out Machita's kicks by taking out his legs

I didn't say you couldn't. Read what I said. I said he was using the leg kicks to slow Machita down, since Machita's fight style is to move and counter attack. That was clearly Shogun's game plan. The problem is he couldn't capitalize on it. You even agreed with me in this reply.

Awesome highlights video of Shogun vs Machida. The slow mos in the video prove that Machida's counter attacks were misleading.

It was a close fight! Shogun did not do enough to take the belt. Slo mo replays show shogun getting hurt as much as Lyoto.
