The Spurs will be the most improved team in the NBA. Not only because of their pickups of Blair and Jefferson, but because they "improved" by no injuries. This will be the only team in the way of the Lakers in the West.

Cleveland picked up a few solid bench players. Shaq is a minor upgrade to ilgauskas. They still need a point guard though. They've needed a point guard for 7 years now. Thats the missing peice to Lebron getting a championship, not another bigman. Lebron will get Defensive Player of the year and MVP.

Celtics got sheed and daniels. Nuff said. However, Garnett is pretty old and busted. Allen is getting there as well. Still Championship contenders.

Clippers still won't make playoffs. Griffin will get rookie of the year provided he stays healthy. If he's not healthy, Jennings followed by Evans or Blair are my next choices.

Grizzlies will be a tossup. If AI and Randolph can actually mesh well, they might make it to 8th seed of playoffs. I'm guessing they will miss the playoffs. 42-41 win team.

Golden State Warriors are in the position to make some monster trades. This could be a potential team to watch out for. They have a team loaded with some of the best scorers in the league. However, they have too many pure shooting guards(that play various positions). They don't have a true 1 3 or 5. Trading Ellis and Jackson could change that. Maybe even pick up Stoudemire or Bosh.

Nuggets have matured. I have a feeling this year Carmelo is going to absolutely dominate, however i don't see them doing better than last year.

Thunder will be the most improved team in the NBA(as far as players getting better, not new pickups like the Spurs). Westbrook will end up being one of the top 5 point guards within a year. Durant will be leading scorer in the NBA within 2 years. Green is going to improve. They are making very smart draft choices. All of their rookies are top notch. The only piece Thunder is missing is a good center. I see this team not making the playoffs, but certainly will next year if they get a center.

The Knicks will suck this year and many years to come. They will recruit very crappy players as they have been doing. Lebron will not go there. No chance in hell.

The Nets got bought by one of the richest men in the world. I'm wondering how overpriced they will pay to get good players.

The Rockets will fall more than any other team.

The 76er's will do slightly worse.

The Hornets will stay virtually the same. Chris Paul will have an MVP season.

Dwayne Wade will leave the Heat. Most likely team I can think of for him would be the Nets.

The Bulls will do slightly worse.

Pistons will do worse.

The Blazers will stay the same. Oden will perform "decent". Look forward to 13 and 8.5 numbers from him. Roy did amazing last year, he should do better.

Pacers will still suck. Hansborough will get hardly any playtime on a bad team.

The Jazz will be better due to no injuries.

The Bobcats will be better due to more coaching.

The Suns will stay the same, which is bad.

Magic will be the same. However, I don't think they will make it to the finals.

The Wizards will be infected by injuries. Arenas will get hurt again.

The Bucks will obviously do very bad. Brandon Jennings will be 1st or 2nd or 3rd best player of the draft. Possible candidate for ROY.

Timberwolves will trade away their rights to RagHeadBoy. Flynn will be solid. 12-14ppg and 5ast.

Mavericks will be better, but won't make it out of the first round of playoffs due to leaning on Dirk Choksondikski

Raptors will be worse. Bosh will leave.

Lakers pick up of Ron Artest is yet to be judged. Could be a really good pickup, or not so much. I don't think they got worse by the pickup though, definitely. Will repeat as champions if they can make it past the Spurs and Boston.

No way. How many times has Iverson gotten Defensive player of the year?

Cheating on steals and getting away with fouls and having them considered as fouls will only take you so far. Chris Paul and Dwight Howard should be higher on the list.

I respect Lebron's athleticism but he gets away with so much because of the refs, it's ridiculous.

I never said Lebron deserved the award. But he's a likely candidate to receive it.

I don't think much is gonna change.

Lakers will probably win it.

Celtics and Clevland will be right there behind them though.

MVP is a tossup between Kobe and LeBron. Depends on who has the better season.

I do think the Suns will be slightly better now that they dumped shaq and are back to the run and gun style. They'll be a decent playoff team, but I don't think they'll be a contender unless Stoudamire goes ape.

:rofl @ the Suns.

Had they bothered to use Shaq the right way instead of just running and gunning, they might have actually won some playoff series.

One of these days you'll realize that the Suns had their moment when Marion was there and squandered it. Amare and Nash are not taking the Suns anywhere. They'll entertain a little, they'll lose a lot. They'll be back home early, yet again.

Mario is a joke who was made good because he was on the same team as Nash. His piss poor performance at Miami proved that.

Suns before Shaq = #1 seed in the West
Suns after Shaq = not making the playoffs.

Uh, yeah, I'm sure they did not use Shaq at all and that's why they were losing...

Correction

Suns WITH Marion(a player who fit their playstyle) = #1 seed in the West
Suns after they traded Marion = not making the playoffs

Shaq was completely a bad fit for that team. Kerr was absolutely stupid beyond belief to think Shaq would fit in with them. No way. What is more idiotic is they get rid of Marion.... and Raja Bell.... and Diaw.... They had a monster team going on that was very exciting to watch. Granted, a team that would NEVER make it to the Finals due to no defense, but a pretty decent team to watch none the less.

And before you say "well they traded for Shaq FOR defensive purposes to make it to the Finals". Look. Who buys an aging center for a fast pace team? Shaq will work for Cleveland, simply because they play slow. Another team Shaq would work great for is Boston. Suns were just TERRIBLE.

If the Suns were REALLY serious about winning a Title, they would start with getting rid of Steve Nash. Steve Nash is a great player, no doubt. But you can't win a championship behind the weakest defense in the league, that is Steve Nash. That , and they could have gotten a big trade for the guy. Just my opinion...

I really wish the Cavs will get rid of Varejo (sp). He's not an asset to the team, but a liability.

Varecrap is 100% the reason why the Cavs won't be able to sign a super star this year. That bloated contract that gave him. I've hated that guy since day one. He can't defend worth a lick against anyone over 6'9 and he can't score. This guy is a 2 million a year player, not 9 million.

He's not even a 2 million a year. Maybe $500,000...

Blake Griffin has a broken kneecap. Might be hard to win ROY sans kneecap...

I feel bad for the poor guy :(

But, they have a decent team this season. If they play .500 ball till he comes back, they should be pretty awesome.

The Clippers have the worst coach in the NBA. I'll be VERY surprised to see them play anything over .350 . Even with 100% healthy Griffin.

Unfortunately, this year's Rookie of the year is going to be 100% based on circumstances. Johnny Flynn and Tyrek Evans both have starting positions. Blake Griffin as well. Its a shame that a player the caliber of Dejuan Blair or Stephen Curry won't even be candidates for Rookie of the year, even though I think they(along with blake griffin) are the best rookies in the game.

Nuggets have matured. I have a feeling this year Carmelo is going to absolutely dominate, however i don't see them doing better than last year.

Looks like another one of my predictions came true. Carmelo is averaging 37 points per game at the moment. I think he's going to have around a 31+ point per game year.

You said two conflicting things: that he would absolutely dominate and that he wouldn't be better than last year. So of course you're right, but you're also wrong.

No, he did not absolutely dominate last year. He is much better so far this year.

They = team. He = Carmelo

And yes, he is dominating. 30+ points a game is dominating. Especially considering he only had 24 ppg last year.

Apologies, he/them fail on me. :p

He single-handedly won the game for the Nuggets against my Blazers the other night. It was very disappointing until I remembered he was on my fantasy team.
