Hey Guys, ive picked out 2 sets of rams. First off i got w7 64bit installed so i have 2gb atm i want to replace them with 4gb (2x2 kit).

I have chosen the following 2 models.

Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5D 4GB (2x XMS2 2GB) PC-8500 (1066MHz) DDR2 RAM, 2x240-pin DIMMs, Non ECC, Unbuffered, 5-5-5-15

Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX 4GB (2x XMS2 2GB) PC-6400 (800MHz) DDR2 RAM, 2x240-pin DIMMs, Non ECC Unbuffered, 4-4-4-12

Price wise..they are very close, the 1066 is about 10AUD more..so i guess it can be negated. Also i have checked the motherboard and i can run the 1066mhz.

No overclocking planned...

Would love to know the difference between the two and what will benefit more for a gamer.

Plan to switch my 4870 out to what eva fastest ati card once the fermi out and if fermi faster i will end up getting that.

nvm going with the 4gb 6400c4 for obvious reason. cpu is e6850

i wonder if i can still keep my 2gb (2x1) and 4gb (2x2). so a total of 6gb with 4 sticks..i remmeber reading something about it breaks the ddr2 if u don't put match them properly?
