I'm getting an HTTP 404 error on both downloads. Anyone have another link.

I had terrible performance issues with these installed on NFS: Shift...

Reverted back to 191.07's.
It belongs to your own solo problem.
I had even better performance with 195.39 than 191.07.

I can't get it to run without crashing.

Is that new with this beta?

Alright I gave in and gave it one last try to download these suckers and it finally worked. Got them installed and I still have the weird problem with opening a picture in Windows Photo Viewer then it lags when moving the window around the screen. Other than that they seem ok but I haven't really tested them out well.

I think it's pretty safe to say that these drivers are really only for driver addicts like myself and many others here as well but in this case I ran them for a couple hours and finally just said pee on it and uninstalled them and back to the 187.66's. Drivers are leaked so often that these really aren't even worth the trouble. There are clearly issues with the driver and the only reason they were pushed out the door is because of Borderlands.

We should all keep a history lesson in the back of our minds right now regarding the extreme measures Nvidia went to with their drivers the last time their competitor claimed the performance crown on them. As always I will test out each leak but I will be less reluctant to revert back to another version where everything is peachy.

I have to admit sometimes I think there should be a "Driver's Anonymous" group for me to go to as I often update drivers simply because they are there. I am trying to reform, though ;) Everything seems to be running well, Borderlands included, on 191.07 so I'll wait off on these a bit. They do sound reasonably good, though... and I do wonder why the driver number jumped to 195 already - unless Fermi is going to launch with 200.xx

Got a "The system has not been modified. blahblah.." message with these. Downloading again to see if it was a bad d/l...

Update: It was actually a piece of "security" software (Rapport) provided by my bank website for use with internet banking that caused this issue.

Installed fine now and testing...

I can't even get it to run. i just got these installed, i'll give Shift a go and report back.

Update: i got shift too run, but it started in windowed mode *weird*. however, the performance is terrible! i got 11 fps at the start of a race. WTH nvidia??? it ran like a ice cream cone on a hot day before on all recent drivers.

WoW frame rates are as terrible as always with 19x's :(

At least on my GTX 260, the framerates are a little better, but nothing like what they used to be.

They also crash the WoW client in very busy areas like Dalaran.

They also crash the WoW client in very busy areas like Dalaran.

In my experience, they (all 19x) are ok indoors, but as soon as I step outside they plumet to ~18-22fps. I've never experienced a crash in WoW that has been driver related, but it seems strange that simply being a busy area would cause a crash...

Guess I will be sticking with 187.66 until I have completed my new build where I will be going ATI.

Fallout 3: Still Busted.

did you noticed this under fallout 3 profile? it started with 190 drivers.

D3D9Control: 400 (predefined)

if you remove that, fallout 3 just crashes. I wonder what excactly D3D9Control is responsible for.

I'm just guessing but I bet it has something to do with control of D3D9.

I just know I am getting sick and tired of not playing FO3 because I don't want to go through the hassle of going back 3 months in drivers, especially when I am playing new games more often.

Having used these all day I have to say these seem the best drivers out there if you dont play WOW or Fallout 3. I have the same issues with these two games and 19x.xx drivers everyone else seems too.

I had been running 186.18 drivers since...forever, however the recent game Borderlands flat out crashes/locks/BSOD my system after a little while if I use those drivers. Given that I had to update these seem to the best.

Theres quite a few reporting low performance with 195.39 and Shift (amongst a few other games). I'd say you are in the minority that reports shift runs 'better' on 195.39 than with 191.07 drivers.

The initial link was pulled by nVidia just after I saw this thread and downloaded them.

It wasn't until the next day, nVidia re-posted the drivers again.

I was like everyone else who reported performance issues with the initial release. I was getting very bad framerates.

I then downloaded the re-posted drivers from nVidia and did a clean wipe and installed them.

The "new" set are light years better than the first "release". Great drivers. I'm sticking with these.

The drivers do not go back to 2D mode for the second card in SLI mode. The second card stays at full speed while the primary card correctly drops down to 2D clock speeds. Friggen nVidia when will they ever figure this mess out. They got it right with the 191.xx drivers and ruin it again in these drivers.

I get pretty bad flickering when I have SLI turned on for these drivers. It doesn't happen after the install, but when I shut down and turn on my computer at a later point, games begin flashing horribly unless I run in single card mode. So I'm reverting to 191.07 for now.

File size is indeed very different (now ~20MB(!) larger package) and release date on site is 30/10/09.
Re-downloaded and will test later today.

Update: OK. These are better than previous 19x drivers regarding WoW frame rates, about double what previous 19x's give. Still poor compared to 186's but I may stick with them and just turn down some of the candy...
