When I did drink beer I loved me some Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale
from Pike Brewery. (http://www.merchantduvin.com/pages/3_pike_brewing/beers.html) You can also see their cool pub in down town Seattle. A very cool place indeed but I don't go to pubs any more.

I do think it is funny how they discribe the tast....just drink the darn thing...it's beer!

Unlike the lighter "Scottish" ales, this is an authentic heavy Scotch ale. It is lightly hopped with a strong malt character, and a hint of peaty smokiness. Warm fermentation produces fruity esters and balances the sweet malt character.

Hmm... favorite beer... I like anything that is strong with taste.
But I'd say one of my all time favorites is Kirin Ichiban.

Back in Oz when I was drinking beer at 16, I use to drink Carton Cold when it came out. That was when cold filtered beer first came out in Oz, this one is a bitter, non of that larger crap :p

Guinness is the true ambrosia. If your Guinness is bitter, you're not getting it at the correct temp.

Speaking of beers. We have a brewery here that used to make Olympia beer for years. It was crap beer but it was one of two locally owned breweries. In the early 90's Miller Brewing bout them out and it has been a Miller plant up until the friday before last.

Here is what happened. The town in which the brewery was in is called Tumwater. One day the town approached Miller Brewing and said you need to add a 500 million dollar additional filtration system to your waste water dumping. The town did this with out any evnironmental studies, well Miller had a study by a government group and they found that the waste watter that was being dumped into the river was well with in the limit. The town said we don't care, put on the filter and every thing will be fine. Miller said we can never recover that cost at this plant. 2 weeks later that old brewery blew it's last whistle at 5:00pm and 500 jobs whent out the window.

This was all caused by the local town trying to push business around. 500 families are looking for jobs now. M!N! that is hard, expecially since many families have both parents working there at the plant. A very sad situation. :(

It's actually my wife's fave too and one of the reasons we met. I saw this chick in a bar with some massive breasticles drinking a Heineken and knew I just HAD to get to know her better.... ;)

(Yes, I met my wife in a bar. My Mom was wrong after all. )

Heh, depends on which state in Australia you come from, Im from Victoria, and our biggest beer there is VB (Victorian Bitter) brewed by Cartlon, who later made Carlton Cold, first cold filtered beer in Victoria, as I stated before. I hat beer, Ill take JD any day before beer ;) but if I had to chose a beer, it would be a bitter :p
