HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Video

ONe of the sub keys in the above location will have it. Look for the subkey with all the game profiles inside. Very obvious. You have toe create a custom res before the key shows up in there BTW. I know the key it self is in hex for all of the resolutions. If you want to add one via regedit you will have to type the custom res you created to make the key in to a hex to decimal converter and then search through the sting to find its hex value. Good luck. Had old hdtv that I had to regedit like this to get it to dispay correctly.

I looked in there and apparently that's where they use to store custom resolutions. They aren't there anymore.

I don't know where they are stored but you may want to download the nVidia SDK which MAY provide access to such info. More useful if you want to write a utility program than if you just want to browse or hand edit the data.

Sorry for your help but i don't find registry key for my custom res.

I find where new custom res are store in registry. Probably for recent forceware. I don't known how but i create a custom res with old nvidia driver that i can't find in registry.

Look at a new 1280x720 custom res created with the two icons and 1920x1280 that i can't delete, and i can't modify or recreate a custom res with same resolution and refresh rate. (For information 1920 custom res doesn't work and i need to change it)

I looked through the entire registry searching for a custom resolution I created. It's not in the registry. It's got to be stored in some file some place. Perhaps an xml file. I don't know.

The key you are looking for is called CustomDisplay. It is only created when you make a custom res. It is in hex and a little confusing. I created a custom res of 640 by 480. Here is how you find the 640x480 in the string I cut from the registry. This is only a snippet and you will have to change every instance of the res you created to get the key to the res you want.

640 in hex is 280. 480 is 1e0. You will have to use a decimal to hex calculator to change these values. Notice that 280 appears as 80,02. You have to read it backwards. Pain in the arse ! I did this to create 1240x700 on my old hdtv. Got a new set and its plug and play 1080p so no need anymore. You will see the pattern when you look at the key.

Thank you Mr. Hat, but I'm affraid this quest has sat in my quest list untouched for so long that it has since turned gray and I no longer gain any experience points by completing it. I've moved on to bigger and better things. Like... why does my second SLI card never return to 2D clock speeds after I game? That quest is red.

I dont blame you one bit. It is a pain in the arse anyway. Dont have SLI so cant help you there. Good luck though.
