It's ok. USC will somehow be voted back into the top 5 of the rankings soon enough. They are immune to losses, much like Oklahoma and Florida :)

I follow college football about as much as they show the highlights on TV here, which is not very much, but this is the first year I hear anything about Oregon. Do they have tough teams every year?

Oregon is typically very strong, yeah. Perennial top 25 program. USC's dominance over the last decade has sort of overshadowed Oregon, but the PacX goes USC, Oregon, Washington (in order) over the last couple decades. Autzen stadium is a brutally difficult place to play, and Oregon fields a very typical PacX style of team - potent, pass happy offense, quick (if undersized) defense. Lots of shotgun and option read offense.

They're easily the most complete team in their conference this year. Fwiw, USC got exposed last week in a close win over Oregon State, so a lot of people saw this coming. I figured Oregon would win going away, but was surprised at how badly the Trojans got taken to the woodshed. History says that Oregon trips up again over their schedule, but I'm not so sure. Their defense has been nails the last five games, and that's what you need to win the PacX.

To be fair USC had a ton of injuries. Still, I enjoyed watching Oregon spank'em!

And rightly so!
