here (http://www.vampireuk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/korn.mp3) is a song from their new album that should be out soon. Good to see they have gone back to their heavier sound :super: :headbang:

what bitrate was that @ ?
btw... definitely a lot better than say... st anger ?
definitely better than st. anger... (in bitrate)...
I still dont see how this is that big of an improvement over their previous efforts which have severely hampered their stage dynamic...
... it's a little better tho...
...what happened to the drummers effort post "life is peachy"?
...what happened to to *cool timings/timing changes*?
...hope the rest of this album is 1.5 notches heavier... pleezepleezepleeze....
I saw the 1st family values show... 98 was my concert year (also got to see snapcase/deftones that year:D:D)... I miss korn's intensity that they lost like 4 yrs ago...

The music is still all there, but the whiny post-Follow the Leader Jonathan Davis vocals are killing Korn slowly.
the music is all there?
all the riffs from issues afterward sound recycled and cliche...
all the drums from FTL afterward sound recycled and cliche...
seems like someone told them to turn it down a notch or something...
remember the 1st time you heard Life is Peachy?
RRRR... i hate that they apparently hate that album... its so friggin tight and atmospheric... if you have a 3 disc changer, it goes great with Aenima and Antichrist Superstar...
... I miss old korn... oops i said that already. oh well...

Put that crack pipe down!:p
Davis is fricking amazing, his vocals are raw and powerful. I don't get why everyone is suddenly having a problem with Korn. Untouchables was damn good, however when you look at Issues and Follow the leader, they set the bar rather high. The music is all there and the vocals are as good as ever, they have just been producing in a different way. Some won't like that but I think a bit of variety is nice, and if it turns out well why complain? The only problem Korn have from their statement on it is that the songs sound weird live, which they do. And if you have seen Korn live then all complaints about Davis should go straight away ;) The guy does all his vocals in real life too:eek:
If you can find it download this video..korn_-_shot_liver_medley_(live_family_values_1998)-sn0t-lbvidz
Best performance ever:D

I was in Newcastle yesterday and saw the new album in several places, wasn't aware it was out yet. I was going to buy it for SOMEBODY ;) for Christmas but this SOMEBODY might buy it first and therefore annoy me greatly...

DON'T DOWNLOAD THE MP3.
The RIAA are out to get you. :bleh:
the vid for "right now" IMO is awesome, esp. for a single themed animation...
Grave digger, huh? //me runs to resurrect old nv30 threads...// :p

I wish I actually had some money, I really want to buy this CD because its sooooooooooo good.
I have it anyway, but I really feel like paying for it. There have been a lot of really good albums out in the past few years that I would BUY if I had the money (even though I already have copies):
Korn: Take a Look in the Mirror
40 Below Summer: The Mourning After
Killswitch Engage: Alive or Just Breathing
Shadows Fall: The Art of Balance
Anything System of a Down (I love these guys!)
Memento: Beginnings
And a bunch of others I cant remember the album names for.... Ill NiNo has 2.... Chimaira has a couple....
3 CDs that were huge disapointments this year:
Cold: Year of the Spider
Staind: 14 Shades of Grey (very accurate title... 14 songs that all sound very similar and arent particularly heavy or soft... booorrrriiiinnnng)
Godsmack: Faceless
I'm waiting for the Dave Grohl ProBot project, personally... errrr.... maybe it' s already out and is just a low-profile album...

I have the new Korn album. It's alright. The heavy sound is back just Davis' vocals are still to whiny.
Good effort though, MUCH better than that abomination called Untouchables.
