Went for 7 HP x64 from Vista HP x64. Ultimate doesn't have anything I need. But it's well worth the upgrade. You'd have to use it to see why it's better, but it is.

Just FYI dreamscene is not in w7.

but i am enjoying it atm. Took awhile to get use to the new style of taskbar, but i still have a vistaish/xpish startbar, but with the w7 touch.

There are a few multimedia stuff they have taken out. But overall, i went from v32 ultimate to w764bit ultimate. I am defeintly going to stay w7 now. I will be removing/formating my vista partition this weekend once i get my 8gb ram

the only thing I see that ultimate has that the professional does'nt is
Work in the language of your choice and switch between any of 35 languages.
Help protect data on your PC and portable storage devices against loss or theft with BitLocker.
And I never used them anyway ,I think I save some money and just go with Windows 7 Professional

I would assume so. As you probably know you're supposed to buy it with hardware. I would have gone for the OEM myself but for the EU thing which means the retail version is super cheap here in the UK. Got it for 50 on pre-order. I assume you're not a UKer?

W7 64bit OEM was cheaper than the W732bit, its about 240AUD.
