S**t, I just ordered Windows 7 Pro with Intel X25-M 160GB SSD and now I read this.

THE LATEST figures from Net Applications suggest that Windows 7 has failed to attract any interest and the Mac is set to become the dominant operating system in the World.

According to Electronista, the launch of Windows 7 a week ago failed to dent Apple's meteoric rise in the operating system market in October.

Although the Microsoft OS was on sale for a staggering nine days last month, Windows' combined share of Internet traffic actually dropped to 92.52 per cent while Mac OS X increased to control a whopping 5.27 per cent of the market.

Since Windows 7 has been out it's totally failed to take more than 2.15 per cent of the market.

:rofl W7 sold more pre-orders than Vista did in it's 1st YEAR. I don't know anyone that doesn't like it. If people haven't changed from XP or Vista to 7, they will. They sure as **** won't be buying OSX. I've even installed it on my new work rig.

2.15% of the market in a week or two is pretty good going if you ask me. The INQUIRER are so full of exaggerated pap it's hard to comprehend.

Windows traffic dropped to 92.52%!! Not going into a OS debate but Windows has a market share most companies could only dream of for their products. I mean Apple's own venerable Ipod line doesn't have that kind of market share.

What more did you expected from them? If they had a printable version, you'd surely be using it to fold live fish or any other edible goods.

The problem with Apple (in my opinion) is they strive for design and 'coolness' in a world that's becoming more and more functionality-aware, let alone as-cheap-as-it-could-be, power efficiency and whatever... they're still living in their own world, and... there they have their particular results...

Mac owners are idiots. All they do is constantly try to justify their ridiculous price tag. You can run an OSX86 machine for a fraction of the cost of a Mac with all the same features.

Rofl can't believe people didn't get it, especially considering the last paragraph:
"Apple has been making much of this in its adverts, pointing out that if people are going to have to do that then they might as well pay thousands of dollars for a Mac with Snow Leopard installed. Of course this is much more economical than spending more than a hundred dollars for a full version of Windows 7." :D
