I guess I need to do some reading on Windows 7. Whats the the big deal with it? I thought I read it was a stripped down version of vista.

I have no problems with Vista that's what I'm running.



I got a pretty plain Jane computer for now but it does the job for now. I will turn it over to my daughter when I'm ready to upgrade.

OEM Windows is restricted to the hardware it's installed on while a full product key is always good no matter what hardware it's on (in other word, it can be transferred). This is a pretty good deal it's a full Windows 7 pro for the upgrade cost. Also OEM windows can't be used in virtualized environments.

When ever I do enough hardware changes and all, and it says I have to call or recertifty windows vista 64 I just call in and get another code numbers that they give me takes about 10 minutes.:) then I'm good to go for a good while. Have never had a problem yet, and I do alot of reinstalls and hardware changes, So I'll stick with OEM.:D

thats my case too. have reinstalled my vista 64 bit ultimate at least 4 or 5 times.

Well that's not supposed to be how it works but ok :) You can resell a full key as well and the virtualization thing remains true.
