Ok I replaced my IDE drives with a single 400gb SATA drive and sold my IDE drives now preformance seriously sucks and I put everything into a P4 2.6 because my 939 locks up now every so often. Happens even with no drivers installed. Works fine in the PEntium4 with an 865G chipset but it leaves me with AGP and well a P4 but unless i can solve this i dont have an option

You might need to install sata drivers, I think. Not sure, I think i remember something like that....

well my board doesnt read it as SATA reads it as IDE, and the 15.23 drivers installed SATA drivers still no go

Does the drive have any jumpers on the back?

Most recent ones don't but its worth it to look.

Also, try another cable. They tend to go bad randomly and you'll have some very strange problems with a bad SATA cable.

yes there is jumpers, i think its the drive started doing click of death, leaving me in a pickle, the 939 is out of commision leaving me the P4 which makes me sad.

dont matter now the whole board died kinda, the IDE and SATA controllers in the NB just went AWOL it seems, the bios cant find one installed in the NB. That may have been my problem all along lol.
