IE8 forgetting my session data randomly?

I know it sounds weird, but using IE8 in a daily basis (just to see if I can replace Firefox at some point) gives me an uneasy feeling because it happens to me that, for example, I'm navigating this forum or browsing Facebook and almost on a daily basis I have to re-enter my ID/pass, sometimes even closing it and re-opening, and voila! re-enter again...

I'm using it in plain mode (I mean, no tweaking at all), except for some options like 'don't save encrypted pages to disk' and some other options, have anyone experienced this or can give me a hint on this?

It's very annoying and would like to solve it (if it's really doable)

It was doing that to me too because I set it to delete browsing history on exit and by default it was deleting everything including cookies.
Go into internet options, General tab then under browsing history click the delete button and place a check in the following boxes, preserve favorites web site data, temporary internet files and history. Leave the rest unchecked.
