I don't know if anyone is still playing this game, but i'm having an issue where any time something new happens to the hud/menu system the game skips and jumps. Most notable during explosions of enemies where the targeting box disappears. Basically anything changing on the HUD does it.
I tried fiddling with the acceleration settings, write combining etc.. tried 44.03 and 44.65, both seem to do it. It's been a while since i've played it and I never finished it, so I'm going back to it. I don't recall this happening before. I'd hate to have to revert to an older driver.
Thx

Bah... tried a couple older drivers dating back to when the game was released... problem still there...
Not sure what to make of it.. maybe i'll try turning off fastwrites and sideband addressing
I'm not sure this is very useful data, but Freelancer has been quite smooth on all the drivers I've used so far (40.72, 44.03, and a few others). Used a Ti4200 & Ti4600....
System instability?

Its the only game it happens in.. and only when the HUD changes does it jump a bit.. i'd chalk it up to that but the game isnt that much of a resource hog..
I can play Morrowind (read.. PIG) till the cows come home and prime95 myself into oblivion.. I even ran 3dmark looping all night to see if that would eventually crash.. CPU never got over 41..
shrug.. I'm starting to get used to it.. i'll just deal with it.

It ran fine for me on my GF3 Ti200 using 43.51's. Tried nuking your dets with Driver Cleaner in safe mode, and reinstalling the latest from scratch?
I just reinstalled XP recently, so the 44.03's went on clean. Weird problem i'll say.. :)
