View Full Version : ATI Trade Up Program
I don't understand the ATI (https://apps.ati.com/trade-up/) program. How do I trade up my 9700pro for a 9800pro. I am not going to trade it up but I just wanted to see how it works. I fill in all the info and then I can only trade up to a 9600 WTH!?

I BELIEVE the best you can get is $50 off when trading up, which is obviously not worth it if you are going from a 9700 to a 9800.
I would ask Terry, I could be wrong on that. :afro:

Yes, you get a 50$ discount no matter what card you give them. If you happen to have like a S3 or something laying around its a decent deal.
But if you have a 9700PRO that you want to up to a 9800Pro, you can get so much more on Ebay, then add the extra cash to buy your new card.
And, sometimes you can find non built by ATi cards for about 50$ or more cheepr than from the ati website,
check newegg.com and googlegear.com before you make a purchase just to be sure.

Those prices look inflated... and don't they have anything better than a 9700 to upgrade to?
They have the AIW 9700 pro. I believe ATI is having trouble meeting demand for their partners atm so probably no desire to discount more popular cards.
i think 9600p is the highest trade for your vid card u can get.
