scene it controllers won´t connect

i bought my new Elite bundled with scene it, youre in the movies, and halo3/fable II
but when i the other night wanted to play scene it, i couldn´t connect the controller(s) why is that.
No matter how i pushed the buttons including the X button no go?
help me please

can someone please tell me how to connect the buzzers when playing scene it?

There is a receiver that has to be plugged in. Is it?

The scene it controllers are not wireless like other controllers, you need to plug in the usb IR receiver and point the controllers at it like a remote control.

Please tell me you weren't trying to use them without the IR receiver. Settle down and read ALL the instructions and open ALL the boxes.
