I am really liking some of the new feature previews and am considering downloading Visio 2010 as well.

First impressions using Office 2010 64bit.
It's freaking fast!

Office 2007 was\is terrible.
I've switched to Open Office on every system I work on. Its free, it works and I use it so rarely that any slight down sides it has are barely noticeable compared to the migraine inducing issues I've had with Office 2007.

Office 2007 was good CaptN. Please learn to use Office. 2010 is similar but better.

Open Office FtMFW.
Personally i can see little advantage of using Office 2010 over, say, Office 2001.
The only thing Open Office has going for it is it's price. Office 97 had a more refined interface and MUCH better performance.
Impressed with 64 bit performance as well.

yap, using Open Office is like taking time machine to early 90s, it even can simulate early 90s machines by how slow open office works.

Obviously you don't have an mobile devices that will sync with Office Outlook...

I am really liking how stable it is. The conversation option in 2007 has been refined and integrated into the standard date view in Outlook and I LOVE how easy it is.
I haven't really played around with pivot's in Excel or worked in coding with Access yet, but the ribbons are incredibly intuitive and very easy to reconfigure.
I have a feeling a lot of the work I did before in coding/working on formulas and so forth will now be taken up by the integrated wizards and options just because of how easy they are :)
From what I have read, an online, free version should be available soon to try out so that's a big plus.
And for the nay-sayers comparing this and Office 2007 to Open Office, I highly recommend you get your brains checked. There is a massive difference in functionality between the 2 suites and once the FREE, online version of Office 2010 comes out, this will be made apparent. There is a time and a place for Open Office, but it is NOT in a corporate environment and not on the system of a professional user and definitely not a power-user.

Faster than damn fast? How fast is that exactly and why do we need Word to open up any faster than damn fast?

The ribbons? Yes, it has the ribbons but they are much better now, more intuitive and almost completely customizable.
Screens are available all over da intranets through a quick search :D
The Microsoft site has videos as well.
Trying this today, also Office 2K7 was great IMO, I use excel quite often and I find it a lot easier to make graphs and such.
