This one could prove to be handy...

1) Do not post multiple threads . Consolidate all of your items you have up for sale or trade and/or a list of items you're looking to buy/trade into one single thread. It keeps things simple (and the forum neater with less clutter).

2.) Subject names should be in the following format:

(FS/FT/WTT) (Description of Item or Items)

In case you don't know, the abbrevations are as follows:

FS - For Sale
FT - For Trade
WTT - Want To Trade
No WTB (Want to buy) threads.

3) You must clearly specify your asking price(s) or item(s) to be considered for trade. Do not ask people to send you a private message if they want a price. Post the price in the thread unless the item is exclusively for trade (trading for money means for sale, though)

4. Do not engage in public bartering/bidding/auctioning!! Period. If you feel the price is unfair and wish to try to negotiate with the seller, use the private message or E-mail functions to notify the seller in private - not public!. I can't stress that enough, folks - such business negotiations and proposals should be private business - between you and the seller. Ultimately, it is up to the seller to determine the final price. After you've privately bartered and you still feel the price is unfair, move along with your life. Posting rants, raves, pisses, moans and groans dragging your private conversion into this public forum will result in the closing of threads, with the possibilities of account suspension or revocation.

5. If you have proof that a seller/buyer has committed fraudulent acts in the past (including evidence from other reputable websites), please contact nVnews staff immediately via PM. If you feel that a deal is simply too good to be true or something to that effect, don't waste ours ... or your time.

6. If, after two weeks, you have not received payment or received the item that you purchased, please take the following steps:

E-mail the seller or buyer to ask what has happened. While after six weeks the likelihood for such a mistake is small, it is still entirely possible.

Contact your credit card company (or PayPal) disputing the charges in an effort to get your money back as soon as you can.

Contact any Forum Mod (we're a team watching each others back) or MikeC directly via PM or E-Mail! We will provide you with the information we have for a user. Once again, be prepared to present proof. Then and only then will give you their last known information we have about the individual. It is up to you, then, to contact some sort of authority or the police or legal counsel.

7. Any person who offers an item for sale or trade must provide his or her Heatware user ID and rating with positive feeback of no less than 10. If you do not have Heatware, your eBay user name and link to a feedback score will be acceptable, If you do not have either one with a positive feedback of no less than 10 you must register with MikeC. Links to transactions posted on other forums is not allowed. If you do not provide this information in your initial post, It will be deleted. If you have no Heatware or eBay feedback, your thread will be closed and your initial post in said thread deleted. Both of these policies are no questions asked and will be strictly enforced. By requiring you to provide this information, we are protecting buyers, sellers and the owners/administrators of nV News.

8. Any person selling on the For Sale forum must have at least 6 months membership with nVnews or a post count of no less than 500, if you want to sell and do not meet these requirements you must register your full name, address and phone number, which will be followed up with a phone call to verify who you are. Please register with MikeC.

9. Finally, NO EBAY LINKS (unless, of course, it's to your feedback score).
