You could buy a Viper for what they say the Tomahawk would cost.

The Ducati 998, on the other hand, is THE superbike.

lol... when I Drove in a viper for the first time... I almost had a heart attack... ok ok.. so the driver was REALLY bad... :D
kept spinning the wheels out and nearly flippin killed us round a turn (his cellphone flew out the window and into the neighbors lawn about 20 yds from where we were.. imagine what was going on :) )
but all in all... was fun :D
just trying to picture a flippin rocket between my legs though... :D

Time Trial/Triathalon, yes. Definatly not made for long distance riding. You wouldn't ever see a bike like that in the Giro d' Italia or the Tour de France. Not to mention that the Kestrel KM40 Aerofoil weights about 1.3lbs more than Lances Carbon Fibre Trek 5900.

Helmet?? Are you out of your mind??
The whole purpose of the bike is to commit suicide, why would you want to do that in silence? :)

Yeah, the 'Busa is still the worlds fastest factory production bike. Sort of useless though...You can get a Ducatti 996, Yamaha YZF-R1 or a Honda RC51 that will still do 180MPH and still turn on a dime. The 'Busa is a friggin boat anchor.

What is the difference between the Ducati 996, 998 and 999? Is it the engine? Newer model?
Ducati 999 :)

I've been liking BMW bikes for a while now up until last year. Plus Triumph makes the speed triple, I'm diggin' those street sport types of bikes. Something you can sit up in instead of over, heh

My favourite bike is the Aprilia RS250. I'd call it a superbike, but I guess most people require a large engine when considering something a superbike.
What exactly is the criteria for "best" here?
