Looks like we wont be seeing an offering from the blue team in the GPU market anytime soon.

Maybe Intel will buy their way into the mid-high end market. Nvidia perhaps?

It's funny after so many pompous predictions have once again been proven wrong.

Didn't expect that...

I am guessing they want to go with version 2. maybe the card can only stand upto gtx 200/4870 series...

thats the only thing i can think of...which would explain why the the project isn't shutdown.but more of a next gpu release.

Well, I'not at the least surprised.Taking a shot at the high end is extremely difficult even if you are intel. It will probably take them years to bring out a competitive line of products.

Intel has always sucked at graphics. I expected this to be a flop just like everything before, and lo and behold, it is.

Its not really cancelled, they just cancelling the GPU product, for now. They intend to market it to the supercomptuer market, kinda like NV is doing with Fermi.

Oh they say that, but the truth is.. it is a major flop and quite dead.

Fermi will dominate both the consumer and supercomputer market with it's unmatched feature set and performance. That's not much like Larry B. at all.

Rollo teh fanboy strikes again. No fermi is not like larrabee at all; there are no working samples of the former.

Because you haven't used one they don't exist?

Let's just say I've seen some things you haven't. ;)

Larrabee already beats fermi in the supercomputer space, according to benchmarks.

Are you implying that you've seen the GTX3xx running 3D applications (namely current games) first hand? And that you have concrete performance numbers but are under NDA?

Is this what you are insinuating?

I'd hope so, it costs significantly more.
