Hi all Guru's,

I thought I would just create a thread to thank Cowie for his huge generiosity, and bring attention to it, I am not sure if you know, but recently I was scammed our of $400, from a user named j0j081 or jojo81, I paid for a new Core i7 920, X58 motherboard, and a GTX 260, and he never shipped me the goods, and as I paid for the item as a gift, PayPal would not issue me with a refund... So, I think to myself I am stuffed and to me $400 is a lot of money...

But then I get a PM from Cowie offering to ship me a Core i7 920 Chip from USA to UK, and he charged me noting, this man is a real, real decent guy, and I am very very greatful for what he has done.

Thank you so much once again.

Best wishes,

d1fferent.

I'm registered there. It was the first worthwhile computer forum I registered with back in the day. After they barred any discussion about war and such, I registered here to discuss such things. Then I ended up being a "lifer" here.

I still go back there every once in a while, just to say howdy. The last time I did, I tried to start a Babe Thread, not knowing that they had already had one, deleted it, and banned it from the community. So, here I stay. I don't have any hard feelings with anyone over there, I just like it here.

Tsk tsk tsk. That's our general: going to forums to start babe threads. One massive one is not enough :bleh:

We have some longtime members here (dec 05, nov 04, sep 03) who have recently posted good feedback on jojo81, plus his heat shows positive feedback from other longtime members here.

I'm waiting for a transaction to close with him myself, and will post when it does. Right now I'm choosing to trust others feedback here.

I've always considered him an upstanding individual- though I've never done business with him myself. I'd have trusted him. I await your feedback on this matter. I'm hoping he's okay and that nothing bad happened to him. :(

As an aside, WHY THE HELL do you spend $400 bucks on computer upgrade parts even when you barely have the money?

Priorities people.

Not only that, he's registered to sale. I have not had any prior dealings with him, but we have not had one complaint about him.

Thanks for the support guys. Funny thing is I even have a couple of good feedback posts in a thread on their site yet they seemed more than eager to side with him. Here is my heat to.

Would you mind explaining what happened ? not that I've had an issue with you...our transaction was perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you again.

It looks like you have many satisfied customers out there...and to have a blemish on your feedback like this must be rather frustrating especially if your innocent of any wrong doing.

Like I said..I have dealt with j0j081 and have had no problems at all.

I'm unable to access the thread BTW.

FYI - My transaction with jojo81 is complete and I have nothing but good to say about the seller.

If he sells other items I have need of I won't hesitate to deal with him again. One very satisfied buyer here. :)

Honestly, he's getting nothing but props here. I don't see the need of having a separate thread open to bash a member in good standing. I know that he was asked to explain what has transpired over at Guru, but I still don't think that would change the fact that he has not done anything wrong here.

I know when I used to sell on ebay all the time, if someone didn't like that I shipped something via USPS opposed to UPS, then they would give me a negative feedback.

The bottom line is that he is registered with MikeC, and the members that have dealt with him has nothing but good to say about his professionalism.
