I thought I had seen this in a thread before but I couldn't find it.
A new video is up by Pranav Mistry, a PhD student at MIT, and his S i x t h S e n s e concept.
There is some redundancy obviously, but I am really interested to see this come to fruition with more practical usage :)
There are a number of actual concept device videos at various demo's online so this is indeed real stuff :) Patti Maes is the other person involved with this project, if you want to see more videos.
