Found on other forum which got links for new Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta 2 but on Adobe site still got links to old beta build 10.1.51.45, not latest beta 2 build 10.1.51.64. The new beta is compatible with new Forceware beta 195.81 driver.

I'm sure this will come in handy for a lot of people. :)

About to install it myself with the new drivers on the new netbook and see how it fairs.

thanks,

about to test now on bbc iplayer 720p hd content

usually get 60+% cpu in a window, and 40% full screen.

that on win7 x64, 3.8 gig dual core and nvidia 8800gt

I played a few HD trailers at GameTrailers.com. The ads before the trailers kept the primary GPU at 300MHz (2D mode). When the actual trailer started it was bumped up to 700MHz (Full 3D mode). About 5 seconds later is settled at 400MHz (low 3D mode). My Core i7 stayed at 0% the whole time.

Acer Revo 1600, stock except for win7 32
Latest beta Nvidia ION drivers (Not LE)
Flash 10.1 beta 2

Noticeable improvement in Hulu performance. The video texture is smoother, as is the play. Still need to test YouTube.

Thanks to the people that were on the ball and grabbed the Flash files.

Have you had any stability issues?

That would explain why the clock speed didn't change then.

No stability problems so far. Except no sound during the HD trailer for Dragon Age:Origins. Need to check more HD trailers out.

flash beta is now up at filehippo

http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/

http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

i saw a good improvement on bbc i-player content, about 10% cpu on full screen

no quality problems with full screen playback that was a non starter for the flash bta 1

have not had any browser crashes or anything yet so looks positive.

I've been getting crashes that have not happened before (in IE) especially when closing tabs with flash in the page. So uninstalled it until the next version.

This beta doesn't work for EA Game Face Online app. ::(:

The only annoying thing about this version is how the cursor bounces from pointer to hand like crazy whenever an flash ad appears on a page. Anyone notice this?

Yes Adamk I noticed that and that is why I uninstalled the flash beta and put the official version back on.

so it looks like the releases are for firefox and IE. No love for chrome?

Since eVGA precision 1.9 was released I've been able to check GPU usage. I have two GTX 285s in SLI. While watching HD videos on GameTrailers I noticed GPU 1 at 6% while GPU 2 is at 4%. Pretty interesting.

Chrome uses the Webkit rendering engine, and Webkit has the netscape plug-in interface, so you should be able to use Flash if you copy the libraries to some place IIRC (at least on Linux it works that way, Flash compatibility is given with the Firefox plugin if you copy it to its internal directories).

Here's a hint:
