2010 This one is for Gib!

Whistler (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,90950,00.html) will host the 2010 Winter Olympics. This is fantastic news for me. Whistler is a world class ski resort and a darn beautiful place to visit or even live. I for one will be getting tickets to super g, slalom and maybe the combine. I can't wait. I guess this will put a damper on New York's bid for the olympics in 2012, oh boohoo! Bring on Vancouver in 2010!

Yea, yay. My taxes will go up so they can build lots of arena's that I will never use, and Whistler will get trashed from all the people that it is not built to hold. Yay.....color me excited.

They can stuff the olympics. :rolleyes:

LOL! I kinda figured you'd have that reaction. This is the biggest complaint after the olympics leave. 15 minutes of fame and your town gets trashed. ;) But any way it is good for me cuz it is close enough that I can go but it isn't in my cityl :p ;)

Actually I am worried about Whistler and Blackcomb. I have loved every time I've been up there and although the valley there is kinda big it will just get as you said trashed. I really don't want them to muck with the natural beauty.

BTW I am a very clean person. I don't throw my trash out the window or nuttin' like dat. *sniffs*

That is what I am worried about. The only GOOD thing I see coming out of this it that the Federal Govt will throw money at us to fix up that deathtrap of a Sea-To-Sky highway now, which they wouldn't do before. :afro:
