Dude, u can make them as detailed you want, but it requires skills. Or just wait for someone to make a mod.

They should be on DX11 by now. After all whats crysis without the latest in graphical advancements?

I might actually pick up this issue when it goes on sale.

I have no doubt that it will support DX11. I just hope it's for performance purposes with some improvement to visuals. The visuals are fine the way they are as of now.

god I hope they go back to the first few levels of gameplay and focus on vs humans and open / coastline stuff.

I hear ya there. The matrix ripoff aliens where damn boring.

I really hope they go DX11 and improve the visuals and relative performance. My only doubt that they won't is because it's a console game now as well. :( Less reason to make higher res textures, use tesselation, etc.

As said numerous times their goal with the engine is to have it develop console version along side much better looking PC or next-gen console versions at the same time. If Crysis 2 looks like a console port their entire engine will be called a failure.

Stop worrying.

Its amazing what high detail textures can do for an engine.

Get your textures right and get your aliasing sorted out and your on the path to near perfect graphics.

Yeah but don't forget 2 other very important aspects... lighting and shadowing. And now in Crysis 2, they've upgraded the lighting to be even better.

Exactly why is it important that they go DX11? So that .5% of the market uses it? I mean they were a debut DX10 and it was nothing but negative talks about how little it offered to the engine.

I rather they develop a capable engine that offers high level of IQ without such a high performance hit. I don't care what API they use.
