Holy crap, almost everything is on sale. Ghostbusters is only $6.79, I bought that during the last Steam holiday sale for $10 and I haven't even gotten around to playing it yet!!!

Hey, maybe we'll finally get CoD:MW2 on sale! :D

Holy crap, the indy game sales look pretty awesome.

I guess I know what I'm doing tonight. The annual "spend 6 hours scouring steam for good cheap games" holiday celebration.

Should be faster this year with the shopping carts though.

Is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl any good? I know I can't really go wrong for $1.99 but just wondering. :o

I see S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is $4.99 is it better than the first one?

Yea, it kindda introduces you to the environment. Exploring is a huge part of these games, so i am not sure if you like that. I am not a huge fan of exploring so I kindda just went through it, but then close to the end you die if you don't have certain items, so that cost me. Definitely worth 2 bucks. Kindda hard when you are starting out.

Damn L4D2 is 37 as well.

Clear sky is much easier and straight forward when compared to shadow of Chernobyl. also looks better. if you like a more challenging game, i recommend SoC

So is Stalker more of an adventure/action game? Sorry for the dumb questions but I was out of the game loop for a while. :o

Edit: It sounds sort of like fallout 3

Its not really adventure, it's still shooting and sh*t. It's just like trading, upgrading weapons, buying equipment from the dealers, doing tasks for different "clans", surviving the monsters that live in the environment. Graphically i think it's second only to crysis. Some textures are amazing.
Look at some walkthrough clips on youtube if you are still not sure. Sounds are awesome.

Alright you talked me into it, plus how can I turn down 2 cool sounding games for less than $7? Even I'm not that damn cheap

Let us know what you think :) It's not the easiest game to just jump into and go to work on the helpless baddies.
