Anyone else have one yet?

Still waiting on a Xeon W3520, Noctua NH-D14 and 12GB of G.Skill PC12800 and I just bought a 1 TB Western Digital HD. :)

That looks very hot. Very very hot. Let us know how solid it runs.

My p6t Deluxe just died. No retailers had any of these in stock so I got a Rampage II Gene instead. :(

Looks very sexy! Think Asus should stick to the Black/Red coloring though.
EDIT: Did you check the cpu compatibility of the board; some OC features are locked on some asus boards with xeon
processors?
EDIT2: Forget the above; asus have had proper support for xeons since May. :)

I'm looking at this board for a potential upgrade, as I want to jump on the USB 3.0 bandwagon early, and get some SSDs with it as well. The only thing that turned me off to it was apparently its 3 PCIe slots run at x16/x8/x8 or x16/x16/x1. My current vanilla P6T runs at x16/x16/x4, somehow providing more lanes than this board does. I like that configuration because it still gives me full 2x16 from two cards in SLI, while providing a decent x4 bandwidth to a PhysX card. I'd prefer not to either gimp one of my SLI cards, or have a completely useless PhysX card in x1 bandwidth.

I got the same board and am currently in the process of installing it. Im on my notebook taking a break. Im removing my chipset loop and old video card loop so im back to one loop for watercooling. I have plans for some even more amazing watercooling on another project. I got this board a 920 and 12GB of some 1600mhz G.skill. im stripping my system down bair its hard to belieave how much **** i packed into my PC. I pulled out about 2 grand worth of stuff.

Anyways im hoping for some great ocs with this board as it will be watercooled. with my 3x120 res.

Turns out the xeon is going to take about 2 weeks to get here so.. lame.

About the pcie configuration, it doesn't bother me as I only use one card and it has a regular pci slot. :D

Hopefully the CPU gets here before I am old and grey. :P

lol that's pretty much the reason why I stopped using Phase Change or Watercooling years ago. Way too much work and money spend, especially if you upgrade your system regularly. Air cooling does the trick much more hassle free, I only had to give up a few MHz.
And you never run the risk of springing a leak, which is how my P6T Deluxe died.

Nice you got the same memory as me too. which by the way I was able to overclock the memory to 1870mhz with 1.65v

Current stable overclock is 4.4Ghz w/ 1.42v still testing 4.5ghz had to had more volts.

Noctua NH-D14, it comes with a 140mm and a 120mm fan. Its pretty jumbo.

Cant wait to overclock on this thing, hopefully my ram is comparable to yours Kasu. :)

Looks like ive got 4.5Ghz pretty solid on this board at 1.5v max temps hit 69c

Isn't 1.5V a bit high? I set myself a 1.4V limit since the 45nm CPUs are available...

Its high but not bad for water.

temps are good. I have a 120.3 and EK supreme on it.

KasuCode

Well as long as you're happy with that.
The last time I used over 1.5V was with a P4 at -52C :p

well mines full load at 69 which is still good. I compaired to systems on xtremesystens

Idle temps are between 29-31c (if the heat is on or not)

Nice job on your new build. I am buying the same P6X58D/NH-14D combo either with a i7-920 (D0) or a W3520. I'm only planning to use the 14cm fan on the Noctua since I only plan to overclocking to 3.6 - 4Ghz, I'll stop once I have to start raising voltage over 1.25v or so.

Without the 12cm fan, does the forward heatsink tower of the NH-D14 block any of the RAM slots ? The P6X58D has a little more space between the CPU socket and RAM than most other X58 boards so I thought it may just clear it. I cannot tell from the angled picture of your completed system. I was going to order Corsair Dominator or Kingston HyperX with the tall heatsinks, but if the cooler blocks the first bank of RAM slots I probably will go with Mushkin or Crucial instead. I don't plan on going beyond 6GB of RAM, so tall heatsinks will probably still be okay if only the black slot is blocked.

Thanks and enjoy your new baby!

It partially blocks the first ram slot, but the ram sticks I have are short.

I might (reluctantly) be in the market for one of these beasts soon. Just wanted an update on how these boards are doing for you guys. Any problems to speak of? BIOS OK? Does NB need active cooling? etc..

Wanna make damn sure this is worth the money before I make the purchase

Oh, is anyone running an Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 with theirs? I'm having a hell of a job finding an X58 mobo that has room for this stupidly big card as well as 3 GFX cards. The P6X58D looks OK but I'd like to make sure.
