If, like me and seemingly many others, you've been having problems with Windows 7 randomly disconnecting your network while operating under heavy network load conditions, there is a solution.

It seems to be mainly with nVidia network adapters, but some other makes too. Just thought I'd post it incase :).

Open up your Network Connections folder. Open 'Properties' for the problem adapter. Click 'Configure' and select the 'Advanced' tab. Disable 'Receive Side Scaling' and the problem should be fixed .

not sure about all realtek, but mine 3 are working fine, and my intel server nic is working fine as well.

btw, I also disabled TCP autotuning

I haven't had any problems at all with my Realtek adapter.

My realtek is fine as well, but my htpc with nvidia has been doing this since I installed it months ago. Drives me crazy, gonna try this asap. Thanks Rev.

The htpc is so bad that the nic will disappear all together hope this fixes it.

Now that you mention it, my old motherboard I had before this one had an Nvidia adapter and I had a lot of problems with it so i disabled it and used the other one which i think was a Marvell.
